Big News!

Hello world!

Boy oh boy, times they are a-changin'! I've got some big things currently in the works, and I couldn't be happier about them. :-) Just put a new single out, fresh from Greg Fisher's studio in good ol' Philadelphia, and it's called "Come Get Me"! I wrote the song earlier this year, and we decided it would be a fun, bubbly track for everybody to feast their ears on. Produced by Greg, the song also features the wonderful and talented Ben Brown rockin' the drums, and was mastered by Tom Volpicelli at The Mastering House. I love how this song evolved in the studio, and I hope you like it! My good friend Catt Melendez is currently working on the artwork, so as soon as that's done the song will be up and available on iTunes. Til then, however, you can still listen to it and grab it on Bandcamp, right here: http://jessytomsko.bandcamp.com

In other news, I've officially begun the artist development stages with Blue Pie Records!!!! Signing with them (as well as my management company Concerthouse Music) is definitely the most exciting thing to happen with my music thus far, and I can't wait to see where this goes! Official website is in progress, and you can expect lots of new things coming to light very shortly! I met in New York with Blue Pie CEO Damien Reilly and Steven Ray (Red River Pictures), and you can read all about it on the recent press release here: http://www.bluepierecords.com/news.php?news_id=1357

I'm so grateful for the people in my life who believe in my music, and I'm grateful to YOU for listening! Stay tuned for more!

New Song!! "Goodbye to Boston" :-)

Hey peeps!

So there is apparently a hurricane coming....But more importantly, have you heard my new song yet?!

I recently had the amazing opportunity to record at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU! It was absolutely incredible! You can check out pics from the session at my facebook.... The session was run by Michael McCoy, and Devon C. Johnson rocked out the mix and master of it! On the track, you'll hear me on guitar, piano, vocals, and percussion (shaker, holla!), and the wonderful Dan Bailey on bass.

The song is called "Goodbye To Boston", and you can listen and download it here: Jessy's Bandcamp

In other news, new website AND new single coming soon!!
Thanks for the LOVE!

P.S. But seriously folks, if you're getting your hurricane on this weekend (in other situations, that could be an innuendo...), stay safe! Don't blow away!

Off To Join The Circus

Drrrrrrrum Rrrrrroll............. "Little Reverie" has gone viral! Haha, but seriously, if you haven't heard, it's available! You can download it through lots of different online retailers (i.e. iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, BandCamp, emusic, Napster, PromoFM, etc. etc...), and I hope you will!! I am so proud of these three new songs! I have big plans for them, mwahahahahaha.... So yeah, please let me know what you think, since I always LOVE hearing from you guys. If you've already got your hot little hands on the EP, thank you sooooo much for the support, and I hope you're enjoying the crap out of it.

In other news, I've been rockin and rollin playing lots of gigs, and I really hope to be able to start playing further and further away from home! I would love to get out west, and hit the south one of these days, and with your support I definitely will. But in the meantime, you can catch me playing around NY, NJ, and PA, and occasionally CT, MA, and RI. If I've met you at one of my shows, you know how much I appreciated your being there, and how much I love meeting everyone and hearing everyone's life story! :-)

And finally, I've begun work on a brand spankin' new album! I'm teaming up again with Greg Fisher at Evolving Sound Studios for this next big undertaking, and I couldn't be more excited! My life has turned upside-down in the last year and it's been a whirlwind of wonderful people, places, and things, and I'm really looking forward to bringing a lot of that into the studio. The new album is going to be called "Join The Circus", and I'm hoping to release it by the fall. So look out for it!

I've got quite a few things in the works, and we'll see how they pan out...but for now, thank you for supporting and enjoying my music! It's tough out there, and I feel grateful each and every time someone reaches out and lets me know that something I wrote had an effect on them. It means more than you know!

Tally-ho, kids.

Little Reverie

Days like today make me feel so good about making music! Greg (my engineer and dear friend) and I took the three new songs to Tom at The Mastering House for some mastering magic! First of all, I just LOVE watching these guys work; they are amazing. I don't understand half of what they're saying, (decibels and frequencies and it's all Greek to me) but my goodness is it fun to watch them adjusting and tweaking and conversing in their sound guy lingo! So great.

But anyway, speaking of these new songs....I love them!!! It feels wonderful to put out new music. These three songs will be officially released digitally as a Winter EP titled "Little Reverie" that I hope to have up for sale by the end of the month! The songs (Come Down, Happy New Year, and In February) are already available on all my sites for your listening pleasure (facebook, myspace, reverbnation, number one music, sonicbids, etc.), so you can check them out now! Wheeee!

I'm really thrilled with these recordings, and I can't thank Greg and Tom enough for their wonderful work. I just felt like I needed to put something new out into the universe, and see what comes back! We've already begun production on a new full album, which I plan to release next year (FAB), but in the meantime I wanted to give everyone something new to listen to. Just my little way of saying, "I'm here! Don't forget me!" :)

So I really hope you like these songs. They're straight from my heart.
Stay tuned for the official release! More updates to come....

Hello blog world! I'm trying out blogspot to see if I like it, just as a little something else to keep you updated on my musical happenings, and to write about things I think are interesting, exciting, cool, whatever. So here I am. "Feeling like a cherry on a sundae" is a lyric in my song "I Was Walking", and I think it's an appropriate title for this blog since it's kind of become something I live my life by. Life is so sweet, like a sundae, and there are so many layers of goodness! The world is full of so much possibility, even though sometimes it might be easy to forget and focus on what's not going right. It's important to remember the sweetness. :)

I'm excited about the new EP I'm working on! It's going to be coming out in December, and I can't wait for you to hear it! It's almost finished, and I'm trying to come up with a title right now..... I should be posting the new tracks in a few weeks. Then next year: new album! Woot woot!

Now would probably also be a great time to announce that I'm working with some fab new people. I recently signed with a licensing agency called Fast Break Music, and my rep is working on getting some placements for me! I also am working with Concerthouse Music, and now officially have a business manager. Very exciting things are in progress! I really feel like I am on the right path. It feels great.

Also in the works is a music video on the horizon for the new year! We're gonna film it here in New York, and I'll keep you posted on the song we end up using, and when it will be released. Yay!

So yeah, that's about it for my first post here. Stay tuned for the new songs and some new tour dates for next year.... :)
